On Wednesday 3rd April we hosted Create’s Tea & Talk, a wedding industry event bringing together suppliers for a panel talk on wedding trends.
Guests arrived to our venue to enjoy a drinks and canape reception, catered by Create. The canapes consisted of chicken liver parfait, lobster salad rolls and whipped tofu grilled courgettes. During the reception guests got to listen to the talented acoustic duo Momento, managed by the award-winning boutique agency, Young Guns. The reception was a great time to see other wedding suppliers, and find out more about their offerings.
Hand & Lock are one of London’s premier embroidery houses with over 250 years’ experience in embellishing, embroidering and monograming garments. They offer bespoke bridal embroidery, and are also perfect for personalising bridal party and groomsmen’s gifts. Better yet, Hand & Lock really showcased their talents by providing guests with personalised embroidery bags. Roxanne Campbell, the multi-award winning celebrity nail care expert was also on hand to pamper all of our guests.
After the reception, guests were asked to take a seat ready for the panel discussion. Members of the panel included Mark Niemierko (widely known as Britain’s high-end social event and wedding planner); Ruari McCulloch (Director of florist Pinstripes and Peonies); Alice Chorley (Marketing, PR & Client Relationship Manager at Rock My Weddings) and Sophie Agar (Brand & Marketing Director of stationers, Papier). The panel discussed all things wedding related, covering off trends, catering, venues and of course, Brexit!
After the panel discussion guests enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea inspired lunch, catered by the event organisers, Create. Starters were a twist on the classic egg and cress, whilst the smoked trout main was served on a beetroot sponge, with soy glazed golden baby beetroot, citrus cauliflower puree, kombu dashi sauce, borage, cucumber flowers and sea vegetable. The lunch also included a surprise dessert buffet station consisting of sweet by savoury looking treats like a scotch egg made from coconut mousse with a mango gel centre, rolled in a hazelnut cake crumb and toasted coconut. Pinstripes & Peonies provided beautiful floral arrangements for dining and the reception. The incredible dining set up was provided by Event Hire UK and Just 4 Linen.
Overall the event was a great success and all involved had a great time. To find out more about OXO2, and the different events we can host, get in touch with a member of our team.
