OXO2 is a truly special place for couples to start their life together. The beautiful South Bank venue is perfect for those looking for a contemporary setting for their wedding celebrations.
In June, we hosted a wedding ceremony and reception with 135 guests, which was jam-packed with personal touches by the bride and groom.
The Bride chose OXO2 for her wedding having recently attended a corporate event at the venue. She was so impressed, it was top of her list for her wedding day!
The couple made the most of their blank canvas venue, adding bursts of colour throughout the space. The ceiling of the corridor was covered in colourful balloons, creating a fun, celebratory atmosphere.
On arrival guests were served a non-alcoholic cocktail of Mint Lemonade, before they were seated, ready for the ceremony. After the couple were declared man and wife, guests celebrated with a drinks reception and tucked into some delicious Create canapés.
The wedding breakfast was designed by our in-house caterer, Create Food. Create served starters of asparagus with parmesan curd and puffed quinoa, or scallop ceviche with aerated celeriac cream, scorched watermelon, crispy chorizo and a raw apple dressing. For the main, guests were served Spring Lamb with confit hogget kataifi, spring garlic, ewe’s milk curd, black olive and pickled courgette. Dessert was a fresh summer pudding with macerated berries, clotted cream and blackberry jelly.
The bride and groom got the party started by performing a choreographed first dance, to the sound of Take That’s ‘Could It Be Magic’! Guests loved it – we soon had everyone on the dance floor!
The couple wanted to make sure the party lasted long into the night, so guests were fueled with plenty of evening snacks. We served beef sliders, breaded cod and black bean burgers with guacamole and salsa.
