Clothing brand Whistles hosted its Spring/Summer collection brand day at OXO2 on the 10th February. The company’s 140 key sales teams were invited to the venue for a full day conference.
Guests were welcomed with a breakfast, provided by our in-house caterer, before proceeding to the East Wing for the retail presentation which had a theatre-style setup. For lunch, our award-winning caterer Create Food and Party Design served a five-option bowl food menu. Guests were treated to dishes including tempura summer vegetables, saffron and pea risotto as well as lemon thyme and honey panna cotta and gin and blueberry jelly.
For the latter part of the day the team got to preview the latest Spring and Summer collections for both menswear and womenswear. The trend overviews were presented on large ‘billboards’ installed throughout the venue, with key items displayed on clothing rails so the team could walk around and handle the new products.
The daylong event also incorporated an awards reception for the Whistles’ team. The blank canvas setting of OXO2 allowed the products to take centre stage. Whistles added branding throughout the venue, inside and out, with branded vinyls installed on the white columns, coloured pin spots and branded signage of the front of the venue entrance. OXO2 was the perfect venue for this fashion launch in the Cultural Square Mile.
The highlight of Whistles’ new collection is the seven-piece limited-edition bridal wear; a first for the popular high street brand. The contemporary styles are perfect for the modern bride and bridesmaid, with on-trend flourishes including bows, ruffles and scalloped edges. As well as beautiful detailing of lace, embroidered tulle and silk, practical design elements have been incorporated such as detachable trains, stepped hems and tie-back details.
Whistles’ price-conscious collection that promises “not to blow the honeymoon budget” is varied with options to suit all types of weddings; from a city wedding right through to a countryside celebration. This collection is available online now [you can view the wedding collection look book here] and from the brand’s flagship store in St Christopher’s Place in London. Brides will be able to book exclusive appointments with their bridesmaids, and with prices ranging from £499-£699 spots will be filling up fast.
