Round up of winter 2018 at OXO2

Winter 2018 was a huge success for us. Over the course of the Christmas period we were fortunate enough to welcome 2,500 guests into OXO2 for their winter parties. Our events ranged from seated dinners for 150 guests, to standing parties for up to 400 guests!

Venue set up and production

Our venue undertook a drastic makeover and theming for the occasion. We teamed up with our sister company Ultimate Experience, who transformed the contemporary, blank canvas event space at the OXO2 into an enchanted forest themed wonderland! We worked closely with Full Circle, who created this magical theming from the initial design concept, all the way through to the dressing, lighting, production and entertainment. Upon walking through the doors at OXO2, you were transported into a whimsical winter wonderland.

Whilst making sure the set up was beautiful, it was also incredibly functional. The winter set up included two feature bars; the East Wing had a botanical themed bar with a green foliage backdrop, and twinkling fairy lights. The second bar which took centre place in the dining room undertook a more contemporary forest theme.

With photo booths becoming increasingly popular at our events every year, this year’s photo booth was strategically placed in the central hallway adjoining the east and west wing. The space featured stunningly crafted backdrops so that guests could get the perfect winter pictures to remember their night. The backdrops included a floral decorated bench swing, as well as Christmas trees and faux snow!

Lastly, to ensure that all guests had the best time, the venue was equipped with a dance floor, disco lights and a DJ!

5 star catering by Create

Catering was supplied by our Award Winning caterers, Create. They can provide completely bespoke menus and drinks to suit the client’s needs, however one of the most popular 3 course menus this winter included a starter of confit salmon, a main of confit duck leg served with braised red cabbage, creamed potato, tenderstem broccoli, roasted parsnip and a port glazed. Then a Chocolate Mousse dessert with a brownie crumb, caramel sauce, pistachio tuile and orange zest for dessert.
