The Home Retail Group chose the flexible space of OXO2 to showcase the latest Argos and Homebase homeware ranges. Each brand occupied one half of the venue for this visually engaging and creative media event. This would be the first time these two brands would be seen together so it was exciting that OXO2 was the venue for the press launch. Mask and Fullcircle came up with the creative concepts for the event.
The spaces were turned into a conceptual calendar illustrating how Argos products make a home for any scenario through the year – encapsulating Argos’ strapline ‘for how we live today’. Five full-scale room sets depicting various cultural moments in the year, from wrapping up in a blanket in front of the fire in January, to the August summer holiday were created along with seven smaller stories.
A Homebase Street was created in the other half of the venue which presented the Homebase product range in different inspirational settings. A florist, a bar and boutique country inn, a hardware store and Christmas store with experiential elements were added to give the press an engaging visit.
