BAE’s hosts a Winter Ball at OXO2

Multinational defense, security and aerospace company BAE systems hosted its Winter Ball at South Bank venue OXO2 in February.

The venue was full to capacity, with 400 guests welcomed by a waiter who was a little more unusual than most – he was robotic! Another character welcoming guests was an eight-foot long corn snake, which wrapped itself around the bravest few.

Guests indulged in a delicious array of bowl food provided by the venue’s in-house caterer. Dishes included confit duck leg, roast pumpkin and chive mash in a redcurrant jus and a mouth-watering mushroom, chestnut and leek pearl barley risotto.

As the party began to get underway guests’ attention was drawn to a number of rowdy guests, who appeared to be having a difference of opinion. All became clear though when the music kicked in and the ‘dancers in disguise’ started spinning.

The rest of the evening saw guests enjoy a dance of their own on the arcade style dance machines, tuck into a sea of mini cupcakes, strike many a pose in the photo booth and attempt to drink vodka from the bottom of a ski slope ice luge.

BAE Systems said the service at OXO2 was ‘faultless’ and called the bowl food exquisite.

OXO2 lends itself perfectly for corporate networking and evening receptions. The blank canvas venue allows for a range of opportunities to ensure your event is talked about for months to come.
